These 1.6F catheter-tipped solid-state pressure catheters are recommended for measuring pressure in small vessels as well as ventricular pressures in  rodents. They are also highly recommended for recording arterial and chamber pressures in large animals.  Systems include catheters, an amplifier/signal conditioner, data recorder and software.

Upto 4 catheters can be plugged directly into the IX-RA-834. Using the IA-400D additional 4 catheters can be added to the system for a total of 8 BP channels.

Advantages:

• High frequency response, making it the most sensitive and precise method for the monitoring of arterial pressure and for analysis of changes in the phasic arterial pressure waveform.
• Superior sensitivity and temporal resolution compared to fluid-filled catheters make them more suitable for measuring intra-cardiac pressures from animal species with high intrinsic heart rates.
