The NBC-501 Nerve Bath chamber is assembled from inert, non-corroding materials. The conductive tracks are heavy gauge Ag/AgCl wire, and the lead connectors and sockets are gold plated. The NBC-501 is ideal for recording compound action potentials, in the student laboratory, from the sciatic nerve of an average-sized frog.

For recordings from the earth worm nerve chord, bull frog sciatic nerves, or the frog nerve-muscle preparation, the larger NBC-402 is recommended.
