The FT-325 Hand Dynamometer is a student-grade grip force sensor useful in experiments involving the quantification of the strength of muscle contractions. It is constructed by sealing a pressure sensor in an air inflated rubber bulb. When used in conjunction with a stimulus isolator, experiments demonstrating muscle recruitment, summation, tetanus and fatigue can be performed on human subjects. As the bulb is squeezed, the internal pressure rises and the sensor outputs a voltage proportional to the pressure change.
The FT-325 requires a transducer conditioning amplifier such as the ETH-256c or ETH-401 or iWorx computer interface equipped with a transducer input.
