Study Cardiac Arrhythmias Using Real Patient ECG Traces

The TA-ROAM ECG Simulation Lab gives students the opportunity to analyze cardiac rhythms using real cardiac ECG arrhythmia data set provided by MIT-Beth Israel Hospital Patients. Instead of relying solely on textbook examples, students work with authentic patient data to identify rhythm disturbances, compare normal and abnormal waveforms, and investigate how changes in cardiac conduction affect the ECG signal.
Compare Restrictive and Obstructive Airway Diseases

The Restrictive and Obstructive Respiratory Disease Lab allows students to examine how pulmonary disorders such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema alter breathing mechanics and respiratory function. Through guided exercises, students compare healthy respiratory patterns with disease states, exploring the effects of airway resistance, lung compliance, and reduced pulmonary capacity.
